Original Art Quilts, Metal Jewelry, Textured Paintings
W4884 County Road J
Irma, WI 54442
My studio is located ‘outback’ of our house in the woods. Every window I look out shows me trees, turkeys, deer, and squirrels. It’s the place I go to discover and try new techniques with a variety of materials. Starting as an art quilter, my interests expanded as a result of a curiosity left over from a career teaching chemistry and travel to many new places. The studio has expanded with a new room added for the dirty work. What gives me the most joy is creating a new piece which combines more than one material or technique. Right now, I am primarily creating both colorful and nature-inspired art quilts, textured paintings, and a variety of jewelry made primarily from sheet metal and wire. My studio houses several different sewing machines, a drill press, grinder, flex shaft, many hammers, and other miscellaneous tools. During the tour I love to show and/or explain to visitors each step of any piece I have made.
Located 1/4 mile west of Hwy. 51 on County Road J in Irma. Visitors welcome any time by appointment.
